WAX is in crescendo

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

If you haven’t heard, WAX has increased its client list yet again with the addition of the Victoria Symphony. The 67 year-old symphony selected WAX to develop creative solutions for various audience-facing marketing materials. Having worked closely and successfully for several years with performing arts organizations such as Honens International Piano Competition and Alberta Ballet, we’re excited to creatively take Victoria Symphony to a refreshing new level.

She will lead us to glory!

Monday, January 28th, 2008

Hailing from the east, WAX is pleased to announce the graceful arrival of Kimberly Taylor into its fortress of creativity to wear the crown of Account Manager. During her loyal service for agencies such as Redwood Custom Communications and Fuel Advertising, Kimberly’s strength and strategic skills has lead many large armies into marketing victory, such as Kraft Foods, The Bay (HBC) and Home Depot. When asked about future conquests, with a throw of an arm into the air Kimberly boasted: “One day I shall open my door to my people to feed them with the goodness of food. Bathe them, nay. Just feed them.”* WAX is honoured to have thee, Kimberly of Toronto, in our presence and we welcome her to our kingdom.

*(Technically, Kimberly said she wants to open a restaurant one day, medieval theme a slim possibility.)

WAX hires awesome new copywriter

Saturday, January 12th, 2008

With such a headline, it should be obvious whom WAX put in charge to write the post for their new copywriter: their new copywriter (WAX is spoiling me already). So here’s a little bit about myself. My name is Saro Ghazarian. I’m a writer all the way from a little city out east called “Toronto”. After obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ryerson University, I quickly realized a career involving numbers would result in a lot more involuntary “Enrons” by yours truly. That’s when I also realized a career with simple words and pretty pictures would be ideal. So I enrolled in Humber College and obtained a diploma in Media Copywriting. In-between my schooling and joining WAX, I’ve had stints at agencies such as Lowe Roche in Toronto and MacLaren McCann in Calgary. Now I don’t want to toot my own horn, but I think that’s what I was assigned to do. Therefore, I guess I’ll also mention that my work has been recognized by the ADCC on their student spotlight. And by Applied Arts through a couple of awards. Oh, I also won WAX’s Copywriting Caption Contest. There, I’m done. For now.
